How to Make a Computer Virus

In computer programming the term “virus” is a bit of code that can be linked to other programs or files. They remain hidden until activated and they may do everything from corrupting data to sending e-mails that overflow inboxes and erase the hard drive. Computer viruses have four phases (inspired by biologists in the classification of a live virus’s life cycle).

But, the majority of people do not create viruses to cause harm. There are a few motives. One is bragging rights, similar to kids who fold paper airplanes in creative and clever ways to see how far it can travel before it falls. Another reason is the same psychology that motivates arsonists and vandals — some people are enticed by the thought of attacking other people’s property. A computer virus with a powerful effect is like Mount Everest to some programmers and they are motivated to discover how far they can spread the virus while not being discovered.

Some viruses use polymorphic code that alters slightly every time they infect a computer or program. This makes it difficult for anti-virus companies identify and remove all copies of the virus from a system. Other viruses require a “trigger” for example, an action taken by the user, or a countdown, to start spreading.

You can’t accomplish anything by coding a virus trojan, worm or any other malicious software for revenge, payback or Pranks. You are likely to be charged with a crime. you’ll be convicted. Consider the alternatives that are more enjoyable and secure than creating an unintentional program that could cause serious damage or even wipe out your entire hard drive.
